Crochet Donut Scrunchie

As you know I love when people send me suggestions for projects they would like to see me make. I recently received a suggestion to make a crochet donut scrunchie. I loved that idea and and added it to my project list instantly. I loved how this scrunchie turned out.

This is another quick and easy pattern. It uses the same pattern as my Single Crochet Scrunchie. I created a chart to show how to create the donut pattern on the crochet rectangle. I also added written directions for this pattern. For this project I used Red Heart Super Saver yarn.

Rows 10-14: (in tan) sc in each stitch across, ch 1 and turn

Row 15: sc in each stitch across, fasten off leaving a tail for sewing.

Use the white yarn to stitch sprinkles to the donut frosting.

Fold the rectangle in half lengthwise and sew along the edge.

Next, put the piece of elastic in the middle of the tube and tie the ends together. It can be helpful to use a large safety pin if you are having trouble inserting the elastic.

Sew the ends of the tube together, and it is finished.

My daughter loves this scrunchie. It looks so cute both on her wrist or in her hair.

As always please let me know in the comments or on social media if you have any suggestions for future projects. Also if you make any of my patterns please post them for me to see. I love seeing what other people create from my patterns.
